Like many modern love stories, Adisyn and Brayden’s began in the most romantic place imaginable… Bumble. Truly the digital equivalent of locking eyes across a crowded room.
For their first date, Brayden picked Adisyn up after she finished coaching volleyball and took her off-roading in his Ford Ranger in Eagle Mountain. At one point he reassured her by saying, “You’ve gotta trust me — I have control of the wheel like 90% of the time.” Somehow this did not scare Adisyn away. Instead, she trusted him and discovered she loved off-roading and that Brayden might be worth a second date.
On December 18, 2021, Brayden asked Adisyn to be his girlfriend. She said no. Not exactly the fairytale moment he was hoping for. Adisyn felt like she needed to find herself first. But the very next day, while hiking to Diamond Fork Hot Springs, she realized maybe she didn’t need to figure everything out alone — she could grow alongside Brayden. She told him she did want to be his girlfriend after all, making December 19, 2021 their official anniversary.
Adisyn was 19 and Brayden was 21, and in many ways they’ve grown up together. They have been inseparable since, and they spend most of their time camping, dirt biking, exploring new places, and doing each other’s hobbies (sometimes enthusiastically, sometimes just for love).
They’ve supported each other through some of life’s hardest moments and have grown stronger together along the way. Today their little family includes their dog Mayzie Rue, two cats — O’Malley the Alley Cat and Nala — their turtle Squirtle, and more fish than they can easily count.
And it all started with a Bumble match… and a man who only had control of the wheel 90% of the time.
